Outstanding reviews
Love this! Your writing is melodic, the descriptions are downright visual, everything from the disgorged clumps of earth to the memories of Alice. Very much enjoyed reading it and I loved the way it went from a nostalgic tale of longing to desperation to be seen...even if that meant scaring the new Alice. Well done!! Congratulations!
this story was so mystifying and amazing. I don't want to be needy but I feel like this deserves a part 2!
Hi Lucy!Welcome to Reedsey and CONGRATULATIONS on the win! This was such a beautiful piece and a thrilling take on the prompt. I loved the intense imagery and the way you showed us how dynamic your MC was BEFORE we felt the way the tour guide was seeing her. I also loved the way the story wove in and out of the past and present. That final paragraph was incredible. Nice job!
SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL
