Parker, I really enjoyed the way you captured the complicated relationships of this character in a shorter piece. I thought you did a great job weaving complicated emotions into tangible experiences-like the quip about Mac and Cheese. I really enjoyed how the piece felt complicated, but also approachable. I think you did a great job creating understanding in a challenging topic. Congratulations on getting shortlisted and thank you for writing this story.
