She should have been happy because it was summer and almost the end of term, but all Evie wanted to do was cry. She heard the hollow echo of her footsteps along the university walkways as she headed towards the Examination Hall that would decide her fate. By the time she’d reached the entrance, she had broken into a cold sweat. Eventually, she found her place. It was on the second row near the door. Hi Danie,Thanks for your great commentary. I’m glad you found something of value in it. I love the way you phrase the second to last paragraph here. Thank you for reading.

Hi Michal, Yes, it’s easy to get things out of perspective. I was going to say, especially for a younger person, but age doesn’t matter. I remember things being intense during younger years. I think in a university environment it’s easy to think that is all there is and forget there is a world out there. Or maybe see it through rosy coloured specs. The experience of teaching in a university is bound to be very different to that of being a student. Thanks for reading.
Can only imagine it would be no fun.
Difficult. I think it depends how pressured a person feels. Some people enjoy the adrenaline of exams 😬
Aw sweet ending. I felt really sympathetic for Evie. The stress and pressure of school and the testing anxiety is enough, I just feel so much for the students who have additional stresses weighing them down on top of it. I think the days of finishing college in 4 years are slowly dwindling and people are taking their time because it can be challenging to take on full semesters. I am a forever student myself, and I will always be learning. Thanks for sharing Helen.
I think the stress is just as bad for students as it always was. Human nature never really changes and it’s all too easy to get things out of proportion I love learning too. I just wish I had a better memory. Thanks for reading .
