Outstanding reviews
This story is rich in imagery as well as in meaning. I am a fan of libraries, magic, grimoire and grim choices, so I thought you wrote it just for me.
The writing is quite lovely, Amanda. Beautiful images and elegant descriptions. Each section (which was a wonderful tactic here) was so concise and purposeful. This feels like it comes from a larger piece...there's a world here, and though, this works nicely as a stand-alone piece, I am curious to learn more about this world. Poor Aria, having to make such a tough decision between betraying her people and saving her brother. Quite the dilemma... Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed reading your story. It has a very strong and consistent tone. The imagery is well done and elaborates the fantastical nature of themes and setting. Definitely something worth considering is taking what you have and spreading it out into longer chapters. Understandably there is a word limit for these prompts, but it seems there is a lot of story that can be told, or elaborated on. Well done, I appreciate you taking the time to write and share it with us.
