I love a good sci-fi rebellion story, so this was right up my street. Very dark in tone. I was looking forwards to learning more about the Titanians: would have been some cool intelligent lifeforms able to evolve in that methane soup of an atmosphere. But alas, it's AI telling fibs, according to the instructor at least! Yes, I'm holding out hope that Titanian warlords are a thing. Thanks for sharing.

This reminded me of Ender's Game, but a lot darker. On the one hand it's hard to imagine living in a world that has stripped everything enjoyable and unique out of life, but on the other hand, it's believable that something like this could happen in at least part of the world. Scary thoughts, but a good read!

No one has their tastebuds. That's a good insight into this world and how they try to control people. Or maybe the school removed them? It would be interesting to expand this into a series or book.

Karen, I am really impressed with how much world building you managed to fit into a short story. I feel like it's sandwiched well between dialogue and showing, so that it doesn't fell like too much telling. It's a very interesting concept as well. It definitely gives me "86" vibes, if you have ever watched the anime. If you haven't you should give it a go. Especially if mecha sci fi interests you. I enjoyed this, thank you for the story!

Karen, lots of thrills and chills here! Not so far fetched insome respects. I worked at a hospital that had what they called robots doing the menial labor that humans performed back in the day. A very imaginative look into what maybe our future.
